DEPRESSION

Some symptoms of depression:
- changes in sleep and/or eating patterns
- loss of interest in activities that previously were pleasurable
-feelings of uselessness, hopelessness, sadness
- feel defeated, fatigued
- frequent crying

The first step is admitting that you are feeling depressed. The second step is realizing
that you do not have to remain in the bondage of depression - there is help available.

GRIEF / LOSS

And they remembered that God was their strength.
- Psalm 78:35

LONELINESS

Loneliness is the prison of the human spirit.

Is it any wonder that many of us feel lonely in spite of being surrounded by people?
We are lonely because we keep our real selves hidden and keep ’operating’ with others
in order to make them like us, or to keep them at a safe distance. Hence, no one really
connects with us or we with them. We do not have authentic relationships with people,
instead we bump shells with each other.

Therefore, if we want another person to be open with us, we must begin by carefully
opening up ourselves to him/her, by telling the other person honestly and openly of our
feelings. Then, we have given the other person the courage to share his/her own
feelings with us.

If you have the desire to form special, close relationships with other people, remember
that the prerequisite is knowing, accepting, and appreciating yourself.

STRESS / ANXIETY

Stress and Anxiety will rob us of the life we were created to live.

As we learn to conquer these destructive intruders in our life, we will experience a new found freedom.
